Waste - Words used in A Course in Miracles
Every
minute and every second gives you a chance to save yourself. Do not
lose these chances, not because they will not return, but because
delay of joy is needless. T-9.VII.1:6,7
You
do not recognize the enormous waste of energy you expend in denying
truth. T-9.I.11:1.
… all
the waste that time seems to bring with it is due but to your
identification with the ego, which uses time to support its belief in
destruction. T-15.I.2:6.
The
basic decision of the miracle-minded is not to wait on time any
longer than is necessary. Time can waste as well as be wasted. T-1.V.2:1,2.
Choice
is the obvious escape from what appears as opposites. Decision lets
one of conflicting goals become the aim of effort and expenditure of
time. Without decision, time is but
a waste and effort dissipated. It is spent for nothing in
return, and time goes by without results. There is no sense of gain,
for nothing is accomplished; nothing learned. W-138.3. (From the
lesson: “Heaven is the decision I must make.”)
The
children of God are entitled to the perfect comfort that comes from
perfect trust. Until they achieve this, they waste
themselves and their true creative powers on useless attempts to make
themselves more comfortable by inappropriate means. But the
real means are already provided, and do not involve any effort at all
on their part. T-2.III.5:1-3.
Make
fast your learning now, and understand you but waste time unless you
go beyond what you have learned to what is yet to learn. T-31.IV.4:7.
